Abstract
When renewable energy sources are connected to the electrical grid, they may provide additional issues. The electrical connection of solar electricity impacts the power quality. The active power, voltage dissimilarity, sparkle, harmonics, and electrical behaviour of switching operations are the results of power quality measurements. This experiment investigates if the addition of solar power to the grid causes problems with power quality. The grid-connected solar energy produce system block set is controlled using the Static Compensator (STATCOM) approach. The project provides as an example of the power quality issue created by solar electricity system integration. The grid's improved power quality has also been demonstrated here in conjunction with the standards criteria, which include a wide range of parameters. Complicating matters are the standards requirements, which include a wide range of measurements and norms. The usage of non-linear loads at the point of common association causes power quality difficulties, which are handled by power electronic devices that connect STATCOM to the grid. The STATCOM connecting device to the grid is additionally given shunt active filter functionality via a proper control system.
